Hello There

Back once again like that smell in your car. What is that? Is it spilt milk? When was there milk in the car? Best not crying over. Let’s ride.

Song of the Week
Things Will Be Fine by Metronomy. A versatile band graced with the funk and some gripping little ditties. They started the year with a feel-good positive pop tune that is catchy as all heck. It came as a welcome antidote to any January blues. Things will be fine. And they are fine, it’s already February. How’s that for a cure for the January blues?

Film of the Week
The Power Of The Dog (2021). As Oscar season ensues it is always nice to dip a toe in the dark recesses of the human condition. And what better spirit guide than Benedict Cumberbatch to go spelunking for unwelcome truths? Co-stars Kirsten Dunst and Jesse Plemons are left reeling in the wake of Benebatch Cumberdict’s destructive and unquenchable thirst to verify his power. It’s not about the power in the dog, it’s about the dog in power.

Quote of the Week
‘The present is all we have to live in. Or to lose’ — Marcus Aurelius

Fact of the Week

In doing so, she became the first woman to circumnavigate the world in a Ford Model T. She made countless films of her travels and is basically that explorer guy from the movie ‘Up.’ She spent the remainder of her long life lecturing, writing books, and making travel films.
